Joyce Meyer says “where the mind goes the man follows”. Meaning what we think turns into what we do, say and become. Our present thoughts can predict what our future might be. Don’t like you life now? What were you thinking yesterday or yesteryear?
When you fill your mind with the mind of Christ, meditate on his word, let it sink into your subconscious mind great changes will take place. Commit to memorizing scripture so they can be drawn out as needed to meet life’s situations while at the same time crowding out negative thoughts. You will gain new insights as you connect deeper to the father.
Each Sunday I’ll cover one the Thought Conditioners by Norman Vincent Peale. His booklet covers 40 vital passages we need to live as Christ intended. Mr. Peale suggests completing one Thought Conditioner each day but I find it more helpful to have more time to dwell on areas that we need more help. Some weeks you may find the verse isn’t a challenge but other weeks you may need more time to internalize the verse.
Instructions for study:
- Memorize the verse and meditate upon the brief message.
- Practice the simple techniques suggested.
- If you keep a journal address the Reflect question at the end of each.
- Leave a comment. While not necessary, adding to the conversation may help someone else going through that week’s particular issue.
If you’d like prayer as you study these topics use the Prayer Chain tab at the top. All requests will remain confidential unless you would like your name posted.
