Each Monday Cee Neuner of Cee’s Photography asks four questions as a way for us to get to know each other. I hope you enjoy sharing my world.
Favorite thing to photograph? Write? Or Cook?
I actually like all three but photography is my fav. I love anything nature or wilderness but specifically waterfalls. I do need a bumper sticker that says “I break for waterfalls” because I do and have.
I’ve always enjoyed writing and my ability to express myself is the only way I passed any of my classes. I write non-fiction and prefer to write bible studies and encouraging spiritual pieces.
Cooking, I’m not really into cooking although I do enjoy developing recipes. I’m a pretty good baker but have been known as a chocolatier.
Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?
I must still be a child. Oddly, since I hate heights and the sensation of falling but I do love reaching great heights on a swing. Good thing I have a grandson, I still get to swing.
What has surprised you about blogging?
At first I was surprised I got likes, even more surprised people were following me. I guess that’s because I didn’t know you could do either. I started the blog as a journal for the folks back home while I was on my two-year journey. I found it strange anyone else would find it interesting.
What surprises me know is the amount of work it takes to keep it running. And it’s not just writing the posts, you need to prep, plan, develop new ideas for content, maintenance, promote and be a friend. Following others, responding to likes and comments takes a lot of time.
I’m also surprised at the friendship and community I’ve found and this is a most welcome surprise.
List at least five favorite desserts.
let’s just go with categories here:
- creamy deserts like cream pies (key lime), cheese cake, éclairs, cream puffs, fruit with cream. Ok, anything with CREAM and/or cream cheese
- ice CREAM esp: chocolate almond, butter pecan, pistachio, and the king of deserts: coffee ice cream
- donuts, esp: Dunkin Donuts French crullers and anything CREAM filled
- cake, any except German chocolate as long as there’s more CREAMY frosting than cake
- Oh, just give me a can of Ready Whip and I’m good to go
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m so grateful that I live in a city with so much going on. In the town I came from it was hard to find much to do, especially in the winter. We usually go somewhere every weekend to check out the different holiday celebrations here in central Florida, this year I had to cut it to three.
First we went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Then last weekend we went to Busch Gardens, tomorrow I’m looking forward to SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration.
This year is particularly special, Kai will get to ride the Polar Express for the first time. He just makes the height cut off by 1/2 inch. It’s been hard these past years not being able to let him ride. The Polar Express is one of his favorite movies (along with Cars). He watches it year round.
