I was working at a courthouse in Kentucky this afternoon and as usual I overheard conversations. I was listening to these women in their cute “awe”, sappy voices, you know “isn’t that, or “it’s so cute”. This is usually referring to someone’s grandkid or some cute crafty thing. Yuck! It’s not the first time this week I heard the “it’s so cute” voice. I think to myself “I’m so glad I don’t work in a place like this”.
Then I find out what they’re oohing and ahing about, a powder blue 1966 Mustang in mint condition that one of the ladies bought for her teenage daughter. Now these are my kind of women. And here I thought it was about a stuffed bear or some other crafty or baby thing.
Not everyone is the same so we can’t expect to judge all the same based on our own understanding or experience.
Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. I Peter 4:9 (NIV)
